RESEÑA DEL LICEO POÉTICO DE BENIDORM

El Liceo Poético nace el 15 de marzo de 2003, cuando un grupo de poetas residentes en Benidorm decide formar una asociación, sin ánimo de lucro, con el fin de dar a conocer su propia creación literaria y con el objetivo de defender, mejorar, fomentar, divulgar y potenciar el arte literario en general y en particular la poesía que se escribe en la comarca de la Marina Baja y especialmente en Benidorm. Una de las principales características es su diversidad de estilos, la cual enriquece su poesía que, aunque no sigue unas pautas uniformes, tiene características comunes. Esto supone una libertad creativa que aumenta su calidad. Al ser poesía contemporánea no resulta fácil definir o analizar sus corrientes, pero sí se puede decir que el grupo se caracteriza por cuidar la calidad de sus composiciones, siendo heterogénea en temas, formas, rimas y métricas. La agrupación tampoco descuida el arte interpretativo, intentando divulgar la poesía de sus miembros a la usanza de los antiguos juglares.
En diciembre del mismo año de su fundación, se presenta al público con una antología autoeditada titulada “Poemario de presentación del Liceo Poético de Benidorm”.
De aquella primera obra permanecen en el colectivo los poetas José Antonio Ávila, Orlando Carreño, Florencia Guijarro, Paqui Herrera, Julio Pavanetti y Annabel Villar.

En el año 2006 publica con la salmantina Editorial Celya su segunda antología “Abriendo puertas… por amor al arte”, antología seleccionada por Annabel Villar y Julio Pavanetti con prólogo de Joan Gomper. Luego de difundir sus creaciones poéticas por medio de presentaciones de su libro, a través de su página web www.liceopoeticodebenidorm.com y de recitales por toda la provincia, consolidado ya como un grupo de prestigio en Alicante, presenta el 23 de abril de 2009, en el marco del día internacional del libro, en el Salón de Actos del Ayuntamiento de Benidorm su tercer libro: “…pero nos queda la palabra”, antología seleccionada igualmente por Annabel Villar y Julio Pavanetti, con prólogo de Carlos Ferrer.

También en 2009, la asociación ha sido invitada a participar en el “I Encuentro Hispanomarroquí de Poesía Jacinto López Gorgé", en Tetuán y Chauen (Marruecos).
El Liceo Poético es representado en esta ocasión por los poetas Mercedes Rodríguez, Pilar de Juan, Amparo Solbes, Annabel Villar, Rafael Mones-Ruiz, Miguel Gutiérrez y Julio Pavanetti.

The Liceo Poético de Benidorm was founded on 15 March 2003 by a group of poets resident in Benidorm who decided to form a non-profit making association with the objective both of making known their own literary creations and of defending, improving, developing, divulging and stimulating literary art in general and in particular poetry written within the Marina Baja region, especially in Benidorm. One of the principal features of the Liceo is the poets’ diversity of styles which enriches their poetry as, although they do not follow uniform criteria, they maintain characteristics in common. This allows for creative liberty which improves quality. Contemporary poetry is not easy to define or to analyse its trends, but it can be said that the group is characterised by the care it places in the quality of its compositions, whether heterogeneous in themes, form, rhythms or metre. The group also ignores interpretative art, preferring to disseminate its poetry using traditional vocal methods. In December of the same year of its foundation, the group presented itself to the public with an self-edited anthology entitled “Poemario de presentación del Liceo Poético de Benidorm” (Presentation anthology of the Liceo Poético de Benidorm). From this first work the following poets are still in the collective: José Antonio Ávila, Orlando Carreño, Florencia Guijarro, Paqui Herrera, Julio Pavanetti y Annabel Villar. In 2006 it published its second book “Abriendo puertas… por amor al arte” (“Opening doors… for the love of art”) by the Salamanca publishing house Editorial Celya. The anthology was selected by Annabel Villar and Julio Pavanetti with prologue by Joan Gomper. The dissemination of their poetic creations by means of presentations of the book, through its webpage www.liceopoeticodebenidorm.com and in recitals throughout Alicante province consolidated it as a group of prestige. And on 23 April 2009, on International Book Day, in the Council Chamber of Benidorm Town Hall, they presented their third book “…pero nos queda la palabra”, (“…but we still have the word”)an anthology also selected byAnnabel Villar and Julio Pavanetti, with prologue by Carlos Ferrer. Also in 2009, the association has been invited to participate in the “I Encuentro Hispanomarroquí de Poesía Jacinto López Gorgé", in Tetuan, Chauen, (Morocco), from October 2 to 4. The Liceo Poético will be represented by its poets Mercedes Rodríguez, Pilar de Juan, Amparo Solbes, Annabel Villar, Rafael Mones-Ruiz, Miguel Gutiérrez and Julio Pavanetti.
